Let me start by saying that I am making progress and am becoming optimistic about my skill level improving. Having that said, it is taking forever. I can't tell you how many times my camera has died on me in the middle of a session. If that does not give a clue to how long my sessions are, I can help you. I have been taking pictures since Saturday morning and only have been able to replace the 5 pictures for the Victoria, Vanessa, and Ester pieces. I am not completely happy with them either. I'm getting a good idea of lighting, angles, backdrops, and props but have not reached the destination. Ahhh! But I have got to start moving forward otherwise I will accomplish nothing.
I must add that after searching for my own items on etsy, I am now secure with my pricing. I might have actually under shot it. (sigh)

Have you considered making a light box for taking photos of your stuff? It's really easy to make and the pictures turn out so well. No more worrying about good lighting.
Take a cardboard box and cut the front and top off. Tape or glue white poster board as lining on the inside of the box on all sides (probably need 3 white poster boards for this). Attach a small lamp to the top and shine it down into the box. Cheap clip lamps work the best since you can just clip them to the side. And you're done!
OMG! That is such amazing advice. Why haven't I heard about this before? I have one of those cheap light clips already.
